Science Diagram STD 7 ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") is an educational mobile application built to help Standard 7 (Grade 7) students, parents, and teachers learn scientific diagrams step-by-step.

We are committed to protecting user privacy, especially for school-age students. This Privacy Policy outlines our data handling practices and our compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and Google Play Families Policy.

1. Information We DO NOT Collect

We do NOT collect, transmit, store, or sell any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from users, including:

  • Names, physical addresses, or phone numbers
  • Email addresses or user account credentials
  • Precise GPS location data
  • Contacts, messages, photos, videos, or files from your device
  • Financial or payment details

The App operates locally on your device without requiring user registration or account creation.

2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The App saves a minimal amount of non-personal operational preference data locally on your device using SharedPreferences:

  • App Launch Counter: Used to periodically show an optional rating prompt.
  • 24-Hour Ad-Free Timestamp: Stores the expiration time when you watch a Rewarded Video Ad to remove ads for 24 hours.
  • Favorited Diagram List: Saves diagram IDs marked as favorites for quick exam revision.

This data remains strictly on your device and is never uploaded to any remote server.

3. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdMob) & Family Compliance

The App uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to display advertisements. Because our target audience includes Grade 7 students (ages 11–13):

  1. Child-Directed Treatment (COPPA): The AdMob SDK is configured with tagForChildDirectedTreatment = true.
  2. Family-Safe Content Rating: Advertisements are strictly capped at Max Ad Content Rating: PG (General Audience / Family-Safe).
  3. No Behavioral Tracking: Interest-based ad tracking and personalized advertising are disabled.
  4. Data Handling: Google AdMob may process non-personal diagnostic logs and temporary device identifiers solely for ad serving operations, frequency capping, and fraud prevention in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Children's Privacy Protection

Our App strictly adheres to COPPA and global children's privacy regulations. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided personal information, please contact us immediately so we can promptly delete it.

The App contains links to:

  • The Google Play Store (for optional app rating)
  • External websites opened via user interaction with ads

We encourage users to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites they visit.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
